Dr. Walton's research interests include modeling spatial ecology and modeling structured populations (in mathematical ecology); nonlinear elasticity, viscoelasticity, contact and fracture mechanics and nano-mechanics (in material science and engineering); modeling cardiovascular diseases and modeling soft tissue mechanics and growth (in mathematical medicine and physiology); and partial differential equations, integral equations and systems (in mathematical analysis).
