EEB Fall Seminar Series – Paco Moore
November 11, 2019 @ 4:00 pm - 5:00 pm
Interactions, Stability and the Emergence of Biological Properties: Reflections on Work in Several Systems
Presenter: Paco Moore, University of Akron
Host: Michelle Lawing and ESSM
Dr. Moore is visiting from the Department of Biology at the University of Akron. His lab studies the evolutionary consequences of gene-gene interactions, the interface between micro and macro evolution, and experimental evolution in bacteria. He is also currently serving as an NSF program director of Evolutionary Processes, Dynamics of Integrated
Socio-Environmental Systems, and Long-Term Ecological Research (LTER).
The seminar will be followed by happy hour at 5:30 p.m. at Rough Draft in Northgate. There will also be a graduate pizza lunch at noon in WFES 119, please contact me if you would like to attend the lunch (and aren’t already on the schedule).
Snacks and beverages will be provided. We encourage attendees to bring their own coffee mugs/tumblers so we can cut down our usage of plastic/styrofoam.
