Although Monday, February 12th is the 215th anniversary of Charles Darwin’s birth, we will officially celebrate our Darwin Day event this year on March 1st.
The vision of Darwin Day is to “inspire people throughout the globe to reflect and act on the principles of intellectual bravery, perpetual curiosity, scientific thinking, and hunger for truth as embodied in Charles Darwin. It will be a day of celebration, activism, and international cooperation for the advancement of science, education, and human well-being.” Visit the international Darwin Day website for more history and information.
Watch KBTX interview EEB students Oluwaseun Ajileye (Light lab) and Steve Caird (Yorzinski lab) about Charles Darwin and Texas A&M’s Darwin Day celebration.
