Spotlight: Jessica Light

Dr. Jessica Light is an Associate Professor in the Department of Wildlife and Fisheries Sciences, the Mammal Curator at the Biodiversity Research and Teaching Collections, and Communications Chair for EEB.

Dr. Light is a native Michigander and received her B.S. from University of Michigan. She then moved south and obtained her Ph.D. from Louisiana State University and completed a postdoctoral position at University of Florida.

Research in the Light lab is focused broadly in evolutionary biology with a focus on systematics, population genetics, and coevolutionary associations between distantly related organisms, particularly mammals and their parasites. [Read more…] about Spotlight: Jessica Light
